the last day of school holidays.
i always have a slight panic attack about sending the kids back to school
as much as i will enjoy the quiet
i will miss them being here. safe with me. sheltered from all the unnecessary stuff that goes with being at school.
so today we have made stilts, planted vegies with their Pa, organised a last minute friend to come visit. later we will need to buy new school pants and probably shoes for legs and feet that are growing too quickly
and tonight we might bake a cake. a heart shaped cake for our beautiful wonderful children.

I hate the end of holidays too. This week only one of my school aged girls went back though because my big girl is sick. Feels like such a treat to have the big and the little home for a bit longer.
