Wednesday
rudolph
the kids and i did some pinata making, a rudolph the red nosed reindeer if you can't quite tell.
its going to be smacked to bits on the weekend at our family christmas party. poor rudolph.
but for now he hangs in our kitchen. i have a green cardboard nose that amelie painted, to put on the other side of rudolphs face. she insists i put it there...and why not.
.....another thing i love to do...make pinatas.
Monday
one more day of school for this year.
one more day of kindergarten.
there will be more school next year.
but i dont have any more little kids that will go to kindergarten.
gosh.
thats a big corner im turning.
tonight veda played at her end of year piano recital.
that was so cute.
in a little country town hall.
kids of all ages playing their piano pieces.
and her teacher/our friend played i think beethoven sooo awesome-ly!
after some supper, a beautiful night outside, so a little play at the playground across the road and home to bed and to our glowing christmas tree. somehow i think it is our most beautiful one yet.
Friday
my creative space
the kids are bringing home random pieces of christmas creations..like this pin-poked-picture by sindri. i love tiny holes with light. beautiful.
we made some gingerbread, but cinnamon instead of ginger...for amelies kinder party. the colour of it was beautiful before the kids attacked it with icing and marshmallow and shiny things..
it has the potential to break teeth too. i think i cooked it for too long.
the last lot of creative spaces for 2009 over at kootoyoo.
Tuesday

life is a happy blur at the moment.
our shopping day on friday ended with my farmer boy and our three precious giggling kids giving me a beautiful rose gold ring with a promise of forever.
of course we already feel married and forever is what our love and family is.
but now i have the sparkly ring on my finger. and i jokingly call my farmer boy my fiance.
one day we will have a wedding/party.
right now we are surrounded in happiness and love......................
me and ammie also have colds, which is rotten.
and the end of school is near. but not near enough.
amelie pulled all her strength together so she could go to prep orientation day this morning. big brave girl she is.
and christmas excitement is growing daily. im sure father christmas will find something special to bring to these three awesome kids.
Thursday
make way for christmas
So it may have taken us almost a week to recover from the market. Recover , as in getting the kids well again and back to school, cleaning up some of the mess from the pre-market mayhem- so that we all stop tripping over and banging into things, and recover as in gathering my thoughts and just soaking in the thought that there is a world of possibilities out there just waiting patiently.
We've also got my sister Melinda and her 3 year old bundle de love Hana staying here, well here but just down the driveway at my Mums. And that is a whole lot of fun in itself. We've had a school awards ceremony to attend. I could write a whole post about the politics of schools but I couldn't be bothered. I've already wasted too much time thinking about it. What we decided in the end is that our kids are sweet hearted kind compassionate people and in life if they can be that, well thats awesome. Not to say that they don't deserve to be recognised for their amazing abilities also. They do. But too many times, they aren't. grr. see I obviously still have issues hehee...
So now we have moved onto Christmas. It's that sparkly exciting magical time of the year that is all about the kids and family. I love it.
The christmas tree is up. I wanted a fresh pine tree but we couldnt wait that long to find somewhere to buy one. So the tree is up and now you cant see it because it is covered in tinsel and hand made angels and colourful lights ...just how the kids like it.
Today I bought cardboard and glitter , star stickers and glue. Christmas card making is next.
If not tonight , maybe there will be some card making tomorrow for Melinda Amelie and Hana while I get to go to Bendigo shopping with my farmer boy. Something we haven't done for about 12 years ! Maybe not that long. But a long time. Nice.
